In my work, I explore the conflict between the natural and the artificial world, as well as themes of spirituality and contradiction

I describe my work as
“Theatrical Realism”

My work has developed from a long-standing interest in drawing and hands-on creation, and moves along the boundary between realism, surrealism, and abstraction. My aim is to present the world through my own perspective and to invite the viewer to notice details, take their time, and ask questions.

I am inspired by the contrasts between the natural and the artificial. Being in nature and a slower pace help me notice more. Ideas often emerge from the interplay of observation, inner states, and imagination.

Each work emerges in its own rhythm and carries its own logic. I work primarily with acrylics on canvas, and my work reflects a theatrical approach in which reality and imagination intertwine.

Creative process and collaboration

Commissioned works are a significant part of my creative practice.

I approach them largely in the same way as my other works, which means my artistic style remains recognisable.

At the same time, I take the client’s wishes into account — whether it’s a specific detail, theme, or mood that is important to them.

Sometimes I am asked to create works closely resembling my earlier paintings. This has even led to the development of series.

Some works have been so popular that they have been commissioned multiple times with similar themes and compositions.
